The students of Olds High School attended a Remembrance Day service on November 10 in the Ralph Klein Centre gym. Speakers were Capt. Robert Hammel and his wife Mrs. Helen Hammel. He has served with the Canadian forces in Bosnia and Afghanistan and now teaches at the Olds High School. Capt. Hammel and Mrs. Hammel shared their experiences as a military family. Mark Swanson of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105 in Olds read the names of the fallen soldiers from the area since world war one.
